Terms of Service

Welcome to bio.re ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our platform, mobile apps, APIs, or any related services (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you don't agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services. If you're using the Services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

bio.re is a bio-link aggregation platform The primary function of the Services is to host Creator-curated landing pages ("Bio Pages") that aggregate the Creator's external links — to other social profiles, personal websites, online stores, content destinations, and similar outbound URLs — under a single shareable URL of the form bio.re/<username>.

In addition to bio-link pages, bio.re offers a text-only paid messaging feature between Fans and Creators. This messaging product transmits text messages only. No images, videos, audio, file attachments, or other media of any kind are supported, hosted, or transmitted through bio.re's messaging service.

What bio.re does not host

• bio.re does not produce, host, store, embed, mirror, transcode, or otherwise curate adult, sexually explicit, or pornographic content anywhere on the platform.
• All public Bio Page elements — including avatar image, banner image, display name, username, bio text, link titles, link descriptions, link thumbnails, and any other on-page text or imagery — must be entirely Safe-For-Work (SFW). Adult, sexually explicit, or pornographic material on these elements is prohibited under the Acceptable Use section below.
• Creators may include external outbound links whose destination is hosted by an unrelated third-party service and may contain adult content. Such links must be flagged as NSFW by the Creator in the link settings. NSFW-flagged outbound links are subject to a sensitive-content age-confirmation interstitial that is displayed to the visitor prior to the redirect to the external URL. The Creator alone is responsible for the content found at the external destination; bio.re acts as a neutral conduit for the redirect and does not host, cache, embed, or mirror the destination content.

Legal classification of services

• For Bio Page metadata (display name, avatar, banner, link titles and descriptions) and for the text-only paid messaging feature, bio.re operates as a hosting service provider within the meaning of Article 6 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 ("Digital Services Act"), § 512(c) of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and § 230 of the U.S. Communications Decency Act.
• For outbound redirection from a Bio Page to a third-party destination URL, bio.re operates as a "mere conduit" intermediary within the meaning of Article 4 of the Digital Services Act and the corresponding provisions of Directive 2000/31/EC (E-Commerce Directive).

Operator

To use bio.re, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old (or legal age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• Have full legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable law
• Not have been previously removed from bio.re for violation of our policies

Creators in certain jurisdictions may be required to complete identity verification (KYC) via our partner providers before receiving payouts. KYC is a financial and regulatory requirement that applies to all Creators receiving payouts; it is unrelated to the type of content a Creator links to.

To access most features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and 2FA where enabled
• Promptly update your account if information changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Not share your account with others or transfer it without our consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or appear fraudulent.

If you publish a Bio Page, sell paid messages, or receive payments on bio.re, you're a Creator. Additional terms apply:

Pricing & fees

• You set your own paid-message prices
• bio.re charges a 10% platform fee on each paid transaction (no hidden costs)
• Payment processing fees (e.g., Stripe) are deducted separately by the processor
• You receive the net amount via your connected payout method

Content ownership

You retain ownership of all content you post on your Bio Page and in your text-only messages. By posting, you grant bio.re a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the Services.

Payout & tax

Creators are responsible for their own taxes, including income reporting in their jurisdiction. We provide 1099-K forms for U.S.-based Creators earning over thresholds set by the IRS. For EU Creators, invoices are issued per applicable VAT rules.

If you purchase paid messages, tip, or interact with Creators, you're a Fan. You agree that:

• All paid messages are final once sent — but we offer a 72-hour auto-refund if the Creator does not reply
• Tips are gifts and non-refundable
• You will not use the Services to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone
• Your wallet balance is a pre-paid credit, not a bank deposit — it earns no interest and cannot be transferred to third parties

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Post content that is illegal, fraudulent, or infringes others' rights
• Sexualize, exploit, or endanger minors in any form — zero tolerance, permanent ban
• Post sexually explicit, pornographic, or NSFW material directly on any public Bio Page element, including but not limited to: avatar image, banner image, display name, username, bio text, link titles, link descriptions, link thumbnails, or any other on-page text or imagery. Adult-content destinations are permitted only as external outbound links flagged with the NSFW marker (see "About bio.re — Service Description" above).
• Use the text-only messaging feature to transmit, request, or solicit sexually explicit, pornographic, or NSFW content. Messaging on bio.re is intended for legitimate, non-pornographic communication between Creators and Fans, and the platform transmits no media regardless.
• Link out — even with the NSFW flag — to content that is itself illegal in your jurisdiction or in the visitor's jurisdiction, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, content depicting human trafficking, bestiality, or any content depicting or facilitating violence, terrorism, or self-harm. Illegal destinations result in immediate account termination and, where required by law, referral to competent authorities.
• Engage in harassment, threats, doxxing, or targeted harm
• Distribute malware, spam, phishing links, or unauthorized advertising
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the Services
• Sell or trade accounts, impersonate others, or create fake engagement
• Upload copyrighted material without permission (see our DMCA policy)

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent ban, or legal action. bio.re reserves the right to remove any Bio Page, link, or message that, in our reasonable judgment, violates these Terms — including the removal of outbound links whose destination is reported as illegal content under applicable law.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe and other certified partners. By using paid features, you agree to their respective terms.

Platform fee

bio.re charges 10% on each paid message or tip. This is our only fee — we do not charge subscription fees to Creators or Fans.

Refund policy

• Fan wallet top-ups are non-refundable once credited (EU users retain statutory 14-day withdrawal right for unused balance)
• Paid messages: If the Creator fails to reply within 72 hours, the payment is automatically refunded to your wallet
• Tips: Non-refundable (they are gifts)
• Disputes: Contact support within 30 days of the transaction

The bio.re name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. You may not use them without written permission except to reference our Services.

All user-generated content remains the property of its creator. By posting, you grant bio.re the limited license described in the "Creator-Specific Terms" section.

If you believe your copyright has been infringed, see our DMCA policy.

The Services are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. bio.re does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific financial outcomes for Creators.

External link content disclaimer. Because bio.re acts as a neutral redirect conduit for outbound links (see "About bio.re — Service Description"), bio.re makes no representation or warranty regarding the content, safety, legality, accuracy, or availability of any third-party destination linked from a Bio Page. The Creator is solely responsible for selecting the destinations they link to. The visitor, having confirmed the age-confirmation interstitial where applicable, navigates to third-party destinations at their own risk and subject to the destination's own terms and policies.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, bio.re is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for legal/safety reasons.

Upon termination:

• Your Bio Page becomes inaccessible
• Pending earnings are paid out within 30 days (subject to fraud hold periods)
• User-generated content is deleted after a 30-day grace period (some data retained where legally required)
• These Terms' provisions that should survive (IP, liability, dispute resolution) remain in effect

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes that introduce new restrictions on user conduct, or new commercial obligations, will be notified via email and in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Clarifying revisions that more precisely describe existing platform behavior, that correct factual errors, or that narrow rather than expand restrictions, take effect upon publication.

Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting support. If unresolved within 60 days, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.

EU/UK users: You retain all mandatory consumer rights under your local jurisdiction. This clause does not deprive you of those rights.

bio.re exists so Creators and Fans can connect meaningfully. These Guidelines keep the platform safe, fair, and welcoming. They apply to everyone.

We believe in:

• Authenticity — be yourself, not someone else
• Respect — treat others with dignity
• Safety — protect minors and vulnerable users
• Fairness — play by the rules, no gaming the system
• Transparency — clear pricing, honest content

Zero tolerance (permanent ban)

• Content sexualizing, exploiting, or endangering minors
• Threats of violence or terrorism
• Non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn")
• Human trafficking or forced labor
• Selling illegal goods (weapons, drugs, stolen items)

Serious violations (suspension or ban)

• Targeted harassment or bullying
• Hate speech based on protected characteristics
• Doxxing or sharing someone's private info
• Impersonating real people
• Fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
• Spam, bots, fake engagement
• Circumventing payments or platform fees

bio.re does not host adult, sexually explicit, or pornographic content. All public Bio Page elements — avatar, banner, display name, username, bio text, link titles, link descriptions, and link thumbnails — must be entirely Safe-For-Work.

The text-only paid messaging feature transmits no media of any kind and is reserved for legitimate, non-pornographic communication.

Creators may include external outbound links to destinations that contain adult content, subject to all of the following:

• The link must be flagged NSFW in the link settings by the Creator at the time of publication.
• The destination must be a legitimate third-party site whose own terms permit the content displayed there. bio.re does not embed, mirror, transcode, cache, or otherwise host the destination content.
• Visitors clicking a NSFW-flagged link see a sensitive-content age-confirmation interstitial confirming they are of legal age and willing to view the destination before being redirected.
• The Creator and all persons depicted at the destination must be 18+ and consenting. The Creator is solely responsible for compliance with the destination platform's rules and applicable law.
• Links to illegal content — including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, content depicting human trafficking, bestiality, or content depicting or facilitating violence, terrorism, or self-harm — are prohibited regardless of the NSFW flag and result in immediate account termination plus referral to competent authorities where required.

About KYC and adult-linked content. Identity verification (KYC) is required for Creators to receive payouts. KYC is a financial and regulatory requirement that applies to all Creators receiving payouts, irrespective of whether their links point to NSFW destinations. There is no separate "adult-content KYC" tier.

We expect you to:

• Reply to paid messages within reasonable time (or enable Vacation Mode)
• Deliver what you promise — if you advertise exclusive content at a linked destination, deliver it
• Set fair prices — transparent, no bait-and-switch
• Protect fan privacy — don't screenshot or share fan messages without consent
• Use real content — no AI-generated deepfakes of real people
• Flag NSFW links accurately — if a destination contains adult content, flag the link as NSFW so the interstitial gate is displayed
• Pay your taxes — you're responsible for your income reporting

• Respect boundaries — Creators choose what to respond to
• No harassment — buying a paid message doesn't give you the right to abuse
• No screenshot/sharing of Creator messages without permission
• No fraud — chargebacks for delivered content = permanent ban
• One account per person — no multi-account manipulation

We review all reports within 24 hours. Reporters remain anonymous.

Depending on severity, consequences may include:

• Content removal — specific content hidden or deleted (including the removal of outbound links whose destination is reported as illegal)
• Warning — first-time minor violations
• Temporary suspension — 24h / 7d / 30d
• Permanent ban — zero-tolerance violations or repeated offenses
• Payout forfeiture — earnings related to banned content held or forfeited per Terms
• Legal referral — serious offenses (e.g., CSAM) reported to authorities

Banned users may appeal once within 30 days to hi@bio.re.

As bio.re grows, new challenges arise. We update these Guidelines as needed and notify users of material changes. Suggestions welcome at hi@bio.re
